Doc
A private, single-user application for reading your own fitness and health data.
Doc is a personal-use tool built and operated by Aaron Fried. It connects to the owner's own Google Health account (the successor to the Fitbit Web API) with read-only access, retrieves the data the owner has generated on their own wearable device, and produces a plain-language summary that the owner can share with their physician for documentation and clinical discussion.
What it is
- A single-user application. The only account it can ever read is the owner's own.
- Not offered to the public, not distributed, and not available for sign-up by anyone else.
- Runs on the owner's own private infrastructure.
What it is not
- Not a medical device, and it does not diagnose or treat anything.
- It does not sell, rent, or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- It has no analytics, tracking, or advertising components of any kind.
