Terms of Service
Doc — a private, single-user health data reader. Effective October 1, 2026.
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to Doc ("the application"), a private software tool built and operated by Aaron Fried solely for his own use. The application is not offered to the public, has no sign-up, and cannot be used by anyone other than its owner.
By connecting a Google account to the application, you confirm that you are the owner of that account and that you accept these terms.
2. What the application does
Doc connects to the owner's own Google Health account with read-only access, retrieves the fitness and health measurements stored there, and produces a summary the owner may share with their physician. It is a personal reporting tool.
3. Not medical advice — important
Doc is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It performs no clinical interpretation. All content it produces is a restatement of the owner's own device measurements for informational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional medical judgement, and no medical decision should be based on it without consulting a qualified physician.
Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any question about a medical condition. Do not disregard professional medical advice because of anything produced by this application.
4. Provided "as is"
The application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. No warranty is made that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that measurements retrieved from a third-party service will be accurate or complete. Wearable data is supplied by Google Health and its accuracy is outside this application's control.
5. Owner responsibilities
- Keep the connected Google account and any credentials secure.
- Revoke the application's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions if the connection is no longer wanted.
- Confirm that any summary is accurate and appropriate before sharing it with anyone, including a physician.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of the application is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the application or reliance on any content it produces.
7. Third-party services
The application relies on Google APIs for data access, and summarisation may involve a language-model service. Those services are governed by their own terms. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
